San Diego Snowy Forest Engagement at Palomar Mountain

Daniel and Emily are the perfect goofballs to go on a super fun adventure session with.

They met over a year ago and the sparks flew instantly. Daniel and I have been friends since high school, so you can imagine my excitement when he finally found the woman of his dreams! They support each other’s passions and career goals, they giggle and have fun together, and have a huge love for ministry. Daniel is a youth pastor and Emily is a caregiver and nanny. They plan on buying a house soon and moving in right after they wed in July!

Covid is making planning their wedding a little stressful, but they are choosing to see the light and purpose of their wedding: to unite them as a couple and commit their lives to one another. It’s a beautiful thing!!!

She’s from a coastal island in Washington, and he’s a huge mountain and snow lover, so taking cozy engagement photos in the trees made so much sense for them! Going up to Palomar Mountain together was the perfect extension of their relationship!

What we didn’t know was all the snow that would be on the ground… we knew it had snowed a week before, but it was so hot that week, we figured it had all melted off! But we were so happy for the snow because not only was it SUPER fun and sooooo their vibe, but it looked incredible in the photos.

We had a snowball fight, cozied up and ran around in it, and sneaked some sweet kisses in the trees.

Lastly, as the sun went down, we captured a few overlooking the view below and the epic sunset God blessed us with that night.

Here are some of my favorites from the session!
