Why Photo Should Be The #1 Vendor at Your Wedding

Alright alright, I’m bias, okay!!! But hear me out 😜 because I truly believe this (hence why I’m a photographer and not a different wedding vendor). There are so many things to keep track of and think about when it comes to your wedding day, but photography should be the first thing you book, and the vendor you invest in the most.

I’m gonna be straight-up honest with you.

Wedding planning is stressful. but I’m guessing you know that already. It can be a huge temptation to DIY and cheap out on things because HELLO weddings are expenssiiiiveee. I’m soooo with you. Duh! I’m planning one of my own too, so I get it.

But pause right now and remember what you’re doing, why, and for whom. Think about that matters the most to you before you make any choices.

Remember that your memories, your people, and your new spouse are what matter.

The flowers will wilt, the cake will be in your belly, and the dress will get dirty.

So remember your memories (aka your photos) are the only thing that last.

Don’t do future you a disservice by hiring someone because they were the cheapest you found yet still looked “professional” if it really doesn’t. Your memories deserve more than that! It’s an INVESTMENT, and your photos grow in worth over time.

I want to be so much more than a vendor.

You will spend more time with your photographer than your fiancé(e) on your wedding day. Crazy, right?! That’s why I think it’s so important to be a good fit with your photographer. The worst thing ever is when brides I’ve never met tell me they cheaped out on their photographer or didn’t vibe with them — all of their wedding photos are tainted and they can’t get those memories back!
