A Unique Bridge for Couples Fall Photos in San Diego

Charlotte and Nick got married in April last year, and to celebrate their relationship, they’ve made it a tradition to capture photos of themselves each year! It’s a great way to show your growth together with time (and have some cute Christmas cards to send each year!).

Lemme tell ya… they’re just as goofy as me and I’m HERE FOR IT. Goofy and fun couples are my favorite. It makes the entire session hilarious when we’re telling dirty jokes and dancing around like weirdos.

Plus, who doesn’t want candid photos laughing and having a good time?

Now, about this location: we were SO lucky it was pretty much empty for us! This spot is usually jam-packed with people, especially right before the holidays when everyone wants family photos. But because we were there on a Monday right after it rained, it was perfect.

The whole area was green (which is unusual for southern California, especially San Diego), making the black industrial bridge feel very fall and unique!

They chose this location from my location guide because they fell in love with how cool the bridge looks! I love that something this unique exists in San Diego so we can have a variety of photos. Not everyone wants to take photos at the beach or Balboa Park! Plus, Nick is an engineer, so this architecture really stuck out to him!

After we took photos on the bridge, we walked along the hiking trail nearby for some classic San Diego nature shots. The sun was peaking over the mountain for a gorgeous golden glow, then we moved under a huge oak tree to wrap it all up.

Check out some of my faves from the session:
