Mari + Phillip and I decided to get up super early before the sun rose to capture some unique photos by the beach in San Diego! They originally wanted to take some photos by the ocean and on the sand, but they also casually mentioned Phillip’s car obsession. I knew I had to jump on that!
Phillip is really proud of his car and as a couple, they love exploring and going on drives together. When couples have things that are meaningful to their relationship, I absolutely love offering to capture photos that show that off.
I believe photos should represent who you are, so incorporating something you love or a place you love is a great way to achieve that! It makes photos look/feel natural and like YOU!
In this case, we decided to take some fun photos with his car! Mari mentioned this would make Phillip more comfortable in front of the camera as well, and I think it worked! We had a blast and had the whole place to ourselves since it was so early in the morning.
Next time you get your photos taken, I highly recommend picking a location or an idea that represents you as a couple! It’ll make for photos that are unique to YOU and you’ll have an even better time taking them!
