Second shot for the incredible Beba Vowels

First day of senior year, I walked into my communication class. At the seat next to mine sat Lauren. I remember thinking “wait a minute, don’t I know her from somewhere? She’s gorgeous.” Turns out she’s a YouTube star I’ve been watching. When I talked to her in class, she was such a genuinely sweet person. There’s not a hair on her head that doesn’t radiate kindness and gentleness.

Her and I bonded in that class over Dan + Shay, country music, and our love for wedding planning. When I met Josh at a Dan + Shay concert, I knew he was special too. They have been dating since middle school, and their love has remained pure and sweet through the years. Josh is a firefighter, so he works strange hours, but he always finds his way to Lauren and prioritizes their love first.

When Lauren told me her photographer was Beba Vowels, I was so excited! Long story short, Beba and I are homies and have spent 32 hours awake in a car driving to and from a shoot in AZ, but we met officially through Lauren! Beba was awesome enough to let me second shoot for her, which was so much fun! Even though I rarely second shoot anymore, it was quite nice to be able to hang back and watch Beba work her magic. I think we both learned from each other that day.

Lauren and Josh’s wedding was beyond perfect. I mean look how freaking beautiful it was!!! Every single piece was thought of by Lauren, who knew that photography was the #1 thing of the day.

One hilarious and awesome moment was when Lauren showed us girls her present to Josh. Of course, it was a sexy yet classy boudoir book she gifted him before their first look. We all squeeled when she showed us. And when Josh opened it up, let’s just say he was even more ready to be married.

The ceremony was tear-filled and sentimental, with such personal vows that had me bawling in the back. Everything was picture-perfect. Then we took a golf cart to the horses on the property and took some epic golden hour photos in the country dust (so their vibe…and mine).

The reception was a party if I’d ever seen one. But before the dancing commenced, more emotions were felt during the speeches and when Josh pulled out his guitar to sing a surprise song he wrote for Lauren. Everyone gathered and teared up as well. Just like how he sang to her when they dated and when he proposed, it was a perfect way to bring their road towards marriage in full-circle.

Congrats to the incredibly loving couple!
