I get a good mix of chill and casual brides, and extra and bougie ones. I love them BOTH equally so much!!! Both styles are so fun, and I’m down for it all. My thing is I want to capture couples in a way that feels authentic and real to them! So if you want to be bold and bougie, go for it! Or if you’d rather get sand in your hair at the beach in your bathing suits or a t-shirt and shorts, I’m down for it all!

But if there’s one bride who loves the extra and dramatic look, it’s Rox. She and her fiancé Jess did their engagement session with me in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, CA! They’re getting married in Palm Springs at Villa Royale in a month, so it only made sense we would capture their engagement pictures there! We had a ton of fun and I loved how they brought the drama and seriousness to their session! When Roxanne reached out to me, she told me she had a bunch of outfit changes and vibes in mind for their photos… not just a couple outfits and locations, but 8 looks and 3 locations!!!

I was soooo there! We had all afternoon to drive around to different spots to capture their love and photos for their Save the Dates, so it was a blast! All of their outfits were unique and fun, so I wanted to share them here to inspire you!

The thing that stuck out to me about the outfits they chose were super specific to the location and true to them. It makes everything look polished and intentional this way! Their use of props was unmatched as well! Cars, sunglasses, smoke bombs, etc.

If I had one piece of advice for choosing your outfit looks, I think all couples should consider with their outfits is the overall vibe the location gives off and what their personalities are. Your outfits should complement the location and should make you say “yes of course!” If you stay true to those two things, you can’t go wrong ;).
