After 6 years together, Brooke and Reed finally tied the knot. They did long distance all through college, when Brooke attended PLNU and Reed at UCSB.
Despite distance for the most of their relationship plus other trials in life, their love never faltered. They knew their love was worth fighting for. They saw each as often as they could, which was about every three weeks. In between visits, they did Bible devotionals over FaceTime. Fostering their relationship with God individually and as a couple was of upmost importance to them. They see their relationship grow stronger the more they grow in their love of God.
I had the privilege of being Brooke’s roommate during my senior year at Loma (when we both came to love houseplants). Brooke started the obsession when she bought the matriarch of our houseplant family — Fiona. If you’ve seen my IG stories, you know. Along with our other roommates, we acquired far too many & our apartment became an urban jungle. It’s quite terrifying how many we have…
But besides being the best plant mom ever, Brooke is the most gentle and truly kind souls I’ve ever met. She wouldn’t hurt a fly. She’s empathetic, supportive, and cares about what’s underneath of people’s skin. When I met Reed for the first time, it was clear that he was the same way. He’s sweet, goofy, an adventurer, and a true servant-leader.
Their relationship is something unique and truly blessed by God. They bring out the best in each other and allow others to shine their light even brighter too. It’s crazy to me how two incredible people can be put together and be tenfold as great!
Every good wedding includes a getting-ready dance party. Brooke and her bridesmaids blasted Lizzo and paraded around Brooke like the queen she is.
After her mom helped her into her dress, Brooke gave her mom a drawing of the back of them as a gift (wearing their dresses and hair in the same style, of course).
Brooke was practically begging me to hurry up so they could have their first look. What blew me away was the first thing they wanted to do was pray together.
When they are together, it’s pure magic. They fall into each other’s arms as if they were created to be in them. They have such a natural rhythm and a brightness about them. They can’t help but smile the cheesiest smiles and gaze into each other’s eyes. It’s so cute it’s kinda gross.
When Reed saw Brooke coming down the aisle, he started bawling. I’m a huge sympathy crier, and seriously. My eyes were clouded by so many tears I was just praying I got the focus on my camera right when I was taking pictures (hint: I did). I looked around and there was not a dry eye in the place. I’ve never ugly cried like this at a wedding before. It was so ugly that guests after were like “are you okay? I saw you crying” lol.
After the emotional ceremony, the party began. Brooke kept saying “WHOOHOO!” at random moments. During the reception, the speeches had us all going “awww” and laughing our butts off. There were some pretty good roastings during the speeches. After that, one of the most lit dance parties began inside the barn (see reception photos below cuz it was INSANE). I could go on and on about how much fun it was, but the photos speak a thousand words.

I am loving everything about this! So pretty! Is there any info on the names of the colors for the bridemaid dresses?
Hey Kirstin!!! That makes me so happy that you love it! Yes! I just asked the bride. She said she got them from everywhere… one lulus, boutiques, one was borrowed, one was thrifted.
Hi! Does any one know where the grooms suit came from? Finding that exact shade of brown is so hard!
Hi Jessica! The bride said she got it from a sale at Macy’s! Hopefully you’re able to find it there!
Thank you!
