Lauren and Andrew met at a pub crawl, when he was wearing pink bunny ears and a pink shirt. Later they met again on Tinder and then again on Bumble. Finally they realized their meeting was no coincidence, and they ended up talking nonstop. They shared their first kiss in the rain (uh HELLOOO Notebook vibes!!!), and now live together with their two Yorkies in Seattle.
Although they live in Seattle, Palm Springs is their second home. Andrew proposed to Lauren here surrounded by her family & friends. So it’s no surprise they decided to get married at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in a few months too! No wonder why they wanted to take their epic engagement photos out in Joshua Tree nearby. They practically live the boho minimalist chic vibes, which in my opinion is the best!!!
Lauren says she fell in love with my photos because of the desert, boho, modern, minimal vibes I give off. So you could say our meeting was destined too
Their design and decor was an absolute dream. Every bit captured the true essence of Palm Springs. Their ceremony site was in a shady garden while tall palm trees swayed in the breeze. The boho cocktail hour furniture stood out as the sun set over San Jacinto Mountain. Her dress made her look like a perfect boho desert queen! Her neutral and boho copper color palette was my favorite! I also loved the bridesmaid dresses and the sand groom’s side suits.
Not only was the whole day aesthetically beautiful, but all the moments of the day were meaningful and intentional.
She did a first look with her adoptive father and brothers; their reactions were so sweet. Following that, Lauren and Andrew did a first look together. They exchanged gifts and had a moment to themselves to calm their nerves before the ceremony.
For their romantic sunset photos, we drove out to the desert nearby their venue. It was beautiful and really showed the entirety of the Palm Springs vibe they were going for!
By the time the reception rolled around, the temperature cooled and the party got started right away. The bride and groom shared a rehearsed and beautiful first dance, and then everyone joined for a super epic and loud dance floor. People were sliding on the floor, lifting the mothers and fathers of the couple on chairs in the air, and did rounds of shots together. Everyone had a great time and I enjoyed every minute! And don’t get me started on the dessert bar… it was so good. Their cake and ice cream were divine!
If you’re looking for a unique wedding idea, check out their custom beer cans. They printed their faces, names, and wedding date on the beer cans (and the beer tasted good too!) They bought them on Etsy! Such a cool touch!
