Roxanne + Jess decided to host an entire weekend at Villa Royale Hotel in the heart Palm Springs for their wedding. Their guests traveled from all over the world to celebrate their glamorous-yet-laid-back wedding.
It was an epic day filled with meaningful touches, bright, colorful colors, and Old Hollywood vibes. The bride loves anything vintage and retro, hence why she chose a chic, timeless gown to wear and lots of disco ball touches in her decor. The vibrant, warm florals and boho furniture made the desert venue come to life and made everything romantic and glamorous.
Every single aspect of the day was fun and set the tone for an all-night party. The entire thing felt like a glamorous house party, from the pool, to the food trucks, live band, and lots of disposable cameras for guests to capture the raw moments of the night.

As a nod to her Chinese cultural traditions, the bride wanted to do a traditional tea ceremony. Except she wanted it to reflect them and make it unique, so they did a tequila shot together instead!
Another unique wedding idea: rice paper confetti during their first kiss at the ceremony!

Amazingly unique wedding cake featuring cat figurines to represent their cats at home!
Instead of a traditional cocktail hour and sit-down formal dinner, they opted for more casual and fun food trucks!
These two did a funky custom/personalized first dance. It got the party started right away! First Dance: “Let’s Groove” and “September” medly by Earth, Wind, Fire.
Roxanne said:
“Our first dance! We had been working on it for months. It had been a really nice way to stop and connect and have fun leading up to the wedding. And a really tangible way to feel progress!
Day of, we were both so nervous right until we got to the dance floor. And just boogied away. It was such a fun and energetic way to start the true party/celebration part of the day; and it set the perfect tone for the rest of the evening.”
we had to capture some fun and model-esque flash photos while their guests continued to party just outside. They loved taking this time to themselves to really soak in the moment in the quiet!
