Taylor’s older brother became best friends with Rob middle school. They were always in the same circle of friends because of that, and Rob played basketball in high school where Taylor was able to watch him. Later in life, they hung out more and more through her brother. They became like family. Finally, her brother played matchmaker and asked them if they liked each other. They both did, so Rob finally asked Taylor out.
Taylor described Rob asking her out for the first time as “like in kindergarten.” Rob asked her out so casually and innocently, and they started dating immediately. They’ve been together for a few years now and decided to have their wedding at his parents farm.
His parents avocado farm in Carpinteria (near Santa Barbara, California) became the most beautiful wedding venue. The reception overlooked the ocean, the ceremony viewed California’s famous rolling hills, and a gorgeous sunset sealed the evening.
There were so many memorable and unique moments about this wedding, like Taylor’s first look with her brothers and dad, with their Aussie pup, the nontraditional parent dances, and the candy/ice cream dessert bar!
She also wore sparkly boots and had their families participate in every moment of their day, including having Taylor’s dad officiate! There were so many emotions and beautiful things that day, but my favorite was the vibrant sunset moment that graced us.
