Breea and Joe drove all the way from Phoenix for their engagement session, and the sun really showed up for us! These two laughed and giggled the whole time. Couples that aren’t afraid to dance around and belly laugh at their sessions are my favorite! They have such a magic between them; it was almost effortless!
My favorite time to take pictures is at golden hour, which is the time right before sunset. It gives a gorgeous glow on people’s hair and skin, and it definitely brings out all the textures and shapes of the imperial sand dunes in Glamis, California. I’m so glad they were down to catch the sunset with us!
Breea stepped out of their car with a stunning red/burnt orange dress on, and later she changed into the cutest black bodysuit and jean combo. It looked incredible with the backdrop of the sand dunes.
The wind was blowing like crazy too (thanks to the Santa Anas we’ve been getting lately), but that actually made the photos even better! I’ve never shied away from wind… in fact, I think it adds a new element to photos that make it even more romantic and epic! I encourage it! Her hair was wind-swept and the dress was billowing and blowing around in the perfect way.
Ugh. Heart eyes. I could stare at these images for hours!
After the sunset, we were able to take some more photos in the blue hour, which made for some epic and intimate images. They were down for anything, and I love that they let us be creative in our storytelling of them! Another adventure session for the books and I can’t wait to go back!
