As a photographer who loves to get people moving and having fun, here are my top favorite poses to do with couples for their engagement or anniversary photos!

1 - Spin in a Circle
I love this one because it gets people dancing, hair flowing, and couples naturally smiling. It’s a good prompt to start with because it gets their jitters out!
Prompt: Spin around as fast as you can like you’re in a field of daisies
2 - Kiss & Lean
For all your romantic feels without trying too hard
Prompt: Kiss her everywhere, then shake her around so her hair goes everywhere
3 - Lift & Spin
Can you tell I really love spinning photos? We want those real laughs and genuine smiles, and this never fails to get them.
Prompt: Pick her up and spin her everywhere. Don’t forget to pick up your feet!
4 - Run & Splash
There are so many running and hand holding poses that work anytime, anywhere, but on the beach, they’re even BETTER. I love telling couples to frolic through the water, splash around, and lead each other when they walk and run. Or just simply take a stroll on the beach and pretend I’m not here.
Prompt: Hold hands and slingshot your partner ahead of you. Try to chase each other!
5 - Up Close and Personal
I like to capture lots of detail shots when I shoot couples. It’s fun to have some nice ring shots and other details so they can remember the day. They’re also fun as fillers on IG and printed on your wall at home.
Prompt: Get close and snuggle
6 - Sit & hug
Gotta get some sweet sitting photos! I like to alternate these with partners. First, start with one partner hugging the other from behind, then switch and have the shorter partner sitting in between their legs.
Prompt: Sit snuggled together and give them a big bear hug!
7 - A Wild Piggyback Ride
When at the beach, there’s no better time to have fun and be silly. I love doing piggyback rides with couples here, so they can run or do whatever!
Prompt: Try to bounce them around to get them laughing!
