Lizzie and Charley met at the theater semester study program at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Connecticut during college when he was acting in a play she was directing. They spent 1 week together making theater together and fell in love. Sadly, she had a boyfriend back home, but after they broke up, she “bumped into a familiar stranger on the street in New York. It was like nothing had changed, we were still in love.”
The first year of their relationship was long distance and then when Lizzie finished grad school. Then, she road tripped her whole life across the country, moved in together, got a puppy, and now 4 years later they’re getting married!
They’re both artists through and through with the happiest, kindest hearts.
They wanted a photo session in Big Sur to celebrate their engagement, because Big Sur holds a special place in their hearts! They have had many relationship milestones and took tons of trips up here throughout their years of dating, so it only made sense to take their engagement pictures here!
They wanted their photo shoot to bring out the fun and silly side of them, and they got exactly that! They were laughing and having a good time the entire shoot. It was like I didn’t even need to be there to help facilitate anything! They were total naturals; that’s when you can tell they’re really in love!!!
Along with their puppy, Finn, we explored the river, hiking trails, a magical bridge, and the Redwood forest! Finally, we made our way to the cliffs to catch a few sunset shots before it went down. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot!
