Romantic Church and Oceanfront Newport Beach Wedding

IMMA CRY. I’m literally about to be in tears as I’m writing this blog post. Gracyn + Joseph’s wedding was pure MAGIC. Not only are they probably the sweetest humans EVER, but they are so in love in a mature, yet little-kid kind of way and man, it radiates.

These kids are the CUTEST, sweetest, and most laughter-filled people ever. Seriously, their laughs are so contagious. This Februrary, we took their engagement photos at sunset cliffs, right below PLNU, where Gracyn and I went to school together! I jokingly asked them if they wanted to sit in the water fully clothed and let the waves crashed over them, and they said “omg duh yes!!!” So basically coolest couple ever, amiright?

They met at their Catholic church in Azusa, where they, of course, also tied the knot. They’re one of quite a few middle-school sweethearts I’ve had the honor of photographing!

Gracyn (aka “G”) is a registered nurse and overachieves in everything in life because she’s amazing like that. She just graduated with me from Point Loma Naz University in south San Diego.

Joseph graduated from APU (Azusa Pacific). He is kind, laid-back, and a true man of honor. But you better believe he got WILD at his wedding. It was honestly hilarious.

Their faith in God, love for each other, and commitment to family is unlike anyone I’ve seen. They truly radiate joy and make every individual feel so known. They take time to meet people where they are at and love them how they need to be loved.

Because they love so well and others love them back, they had no problem inviting 300+ to their wedding. It was so special. Honestly, the bigger the wedding, the more fun! I danced harder at this wedding than I ever have before… which is saying a lot. I also ate way too much ice cream, and I don’t regret it one bit.

After their beautiful and tear-jerking ceremony/mass at their church, their cocktail hour and reception were at Harborside Restaurant and Ballroom in Newport Beach, which is one of their favorite date spots. They’re beach people, like me, so it only made sense that they had it there.

The views were incredible, and the sunset was primo. Their first dance included a fog machine to make it look like they were floating on a cloud. AND THAT CATHEDRAL VEIL. UGHHH. heart eyes. Anyways, take a look below. You don’t need me spoiling it.
