Ben + Kendall

4 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Kendall. She was friends with Gavin in high school, and their friend group has stayed close ever since, despite everyone going to school in different states (and one living in Canada)! It’s always impressive when that happens…

She’s one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. She’s positive, warm, a genius, gorgeous, and is one of the most Godly and mature humans. She welcomed me into their group of buds and loved me like her own.

Also, I can’t talk about Kendall Hicks (now Lipps omg!!!) without talking about her Christmas party. The Hicks family throws the best Christmas party every year, with plenty of good times and recurring inside jokes. I believe it was one of these parties when Ben came along and became part of the gang.

We knew from the way she talked about him that he was someone special. They met at Seattle Pacific, where they just graduated from in May. There was always a twinkle in her eye when she talked about him. Ben, of course, is a total goofball, a sweetheart, thoughtful, and the best bear hugger ever (also he’s one of 9 kids, which is nuts!). They’re the best conversationalists, love getting down and having fun, and make everyone feel cared for. They are true question askers and listeners.

After dating through college, they got engaged! Some of you might remember their proposal on a mountain hike I shot in Santa Barbara from about a year ago!

Their wedding was absolutely flawless. It was BEAUTIFULLL and so meaningful to them. They took communion and had a Christ-centered wedding full of those who love them. I’m so excited to see their lives together & invite myself over to hang out at their new apartment!
